Call for Art- The Fine Arts Company’ June Competition

This competition is open to any theme and any art form. Art pieces likely to catch the judges’ eye are those that are creative, skillfully composed, and technically excellent.
The top thirty artists will have their work displayed at our store for the month of June 2016 where our art collectors can buy your work. Three winners will be selected to receive selected prizes. Our contest is FREE to enter and up to three pieces of artwork may be entered.
An image of each entry must be emailed to the following email address: rcrouse@thefineartscompany.com. Entries not submitted to this email will not be in the contest. Please do not call about entering or bring work into the store. Send questions to the email above only.
IMAGE SIZE
Your image must be at least 1800 pixels along its longest dimension and 72 DPI. The file name of your image must be your first and last name, and the title of your piece, for example RoxanneCrouseTheRose.jpg. The subject line of your email must state Fine Arts Contest Entry: “Your Name”. Finally, in the body of your email, include your name and contact information (please also let us know that you saw this announcement on “ArtDeadline.Com”). Don’t forget to attach the images of your entries. If your email does not meet these requirements, we will unfortunately not be able to enter your submission into the competition.
• Entrants should submit only up to three images.
• Only entries sent to the correct email address will be entered into the competitionrcrouse@thefineartscompany.com.
• The image should be at least 1800 pixels along its longest edge 72 DPI. Larger files will be accepted.
• It must be a JPEG.
• The file name must be your first name and last name and title of work.
• The subject line of your email must state, Fine Arts Contest Entry: “Your Name”.
• Include your postal address and daytime telephone number in the body of your email.
• Entries must be received by April 30, 2016 by 12 midnight

Call for Propsals- Academic Art Gallery’ Artists and Curator Submissions

Academic is a contemporary art gallery located in Long Island City that showcases emerging artists and curators. It was founded in 2014.
SUBMISSIONSEmerging or established artists and curators are encouraged to submit material to the gallery for periodic review. An email to academicgallery@gmail.com is the best way to submit:

  • 3-5 low resolution images of current work or link to a website.
  • If you have time-based or performance work- please send a link to the documentation.
For curators send:
  • Your CV
  • Outline or proposal for an exhibition and, if applicable, an example of an exhibition you have organized.
Do not send us original works of art, the gallery cannot be held responsible for such items.
Please do not send us packages, any packages received will not be returned. We will only respond to artists and curators we are interested in working with.
