Kara Walker talks about making the viewer feel that they are a part of the scene that she has created. She accomplishes this by using a projector, so that when viewers would walk in front of the projector, would be projected as a silhouette onto the wall amongst her silhouette pieces. I've been thinking a lot about the type of work that I want to make moving forward, and I've thought about working on a very large scale, maybe even do a mural piece. I feel that walking into a space where the work covers an entire wall, the viewer is overwhelmed with the amount of information that they're looking at. You don't feel that you're separate from the work, but rather a part of it.
