I have had my website: www.tergel.com for a year now! I use tumblr to maintain it, but I would like to have it be more than just a place that I post my art. I want it to be a place where people can follow my life and stay updated with what I am working.
Tumblr is the easiest way to post media without having to deal with maintaining a website and a content management system, so I thought I would put that out there as a possible medium of website. All you do is buy a domain and have your domain point to your tumblr page! Here is a super easy step-by-step tutorial on how to do this if you already have a domain.
Whenever I want to post something new, I just open up my tumblr app on my phone and create a new post and boom: it gets sent directly to your webpage and is immediately available! As someone who develops and designs websites, I know the difficulty and hassle of creating and designing a website: furthermore, maintaining it! Using something simple like Tumblr will make it easier for you to stay up to date and not put things off. Because there is no reason to allocate time out of your busy schedule to "update your website" because it's super easy to do!
