Rebecca mentions during the session last time that it is vital we advocate for ourselves. Opportunities don’t just come because you are doing good work. You have to make position for yourself. Although this does sound harsh and rather unfair, it is reality. It is important to not be shy and show the employers what you have got and what you can do.
Also, Rebecca gives advice for writing a press release. Dividing up information in a way that makes sense for the reader to understand is one o the most important things to do. And also use bold for any information that should be emphasised. I originally thought that making things as concise as possible would be the best thing to do, but it seems that more information is good, on the condition that the reader is able to pick out the important information quickly.
