Gabby Climate Change and Art

Let’s talk climate change and global warming for one minute. It is an issue people. 97.1% of scientist have agreed that humans are having an impact on the environment and causing global warming. Why is this bad?

Here is a list of consequences that are happening now:

• Ocean acidification
• Coral Reed bleaching
• Ocean temperature are rising (this is bad for fish)
• Melting Ice Caps

Anyway why does this have to do with my art?

I want a way to visual communicate issues of climate change in a way people can see that this is an issue and they need to start caring about it or we are going to cause some irreversible damage. This is much harder than it seems because first off understanding how CO₂ effects the ocean already involves knowing gas diffusion with the ocean and then understanding the multiple stepped chemical reaction.

I am looking for metaphors that I can use to explain these issues but on a level that people can h I hope to explore in my next few pieces.
