The senior trip was an awesome experience. What I like most about the museums we visited is Storm King. The sculptures there are of very large scale and it was a great experience being able to walk through them and looking at them in person. It would have been a totally different experience if we had looked at them in a picture. Although I wish they had better explanation of the pieces themselves, the sculptures were of aesthetically pleasing form and I liked them very much.
Staying at the Gwen Greene’s house was also great. They are passionate art collectors and had great pieces of works in their house. The empty photo frame was my favorite.
During this trip we saw a lot of contemporary art, which is somewhat hard to understand. The simplicity has confusion but also beauty. I still find them very hard to understand but I appreciate their artistic value.
